Litter Area Reset

A litter reset should stay narrow: contain scatter, wipe the area, and avoid turning cat cleanup into a full-room project every day.

Define the litter zone

Use a mat to create a clear boundary around the box. The goal is to catch scatter before it travels into the rest of the room.

Do one small pass daily

Shake or vacuum the catch area, wipe visible floor mess, and check the path your cat usually takes away from the box.

Keep supplies nearby but hidden

A small basket or caddy can hold cleanup items without making the space look busier than it needs to.

• Keep the mat flat and easy for your cat to cross.
• Do not use harsh scents around the litter area.
• Reset the surrounding floor before scatter spreads.
